I'll have my Roethlisberger with fries
Although I was rooting for Pittsburgh, I always feel bad for the loser. Poor Matt Hasselbeck. First your sister-in-law shames the clan by co-hosting the View, and now this.

In other news, I didn't realize Andy Rooney had purchased a football team. HOLY HELL. They need to get that man to Disney World before his 60 minutes are up.

Andy Rooney has a football team? Weird.

Art Rooney is the owner of Pittsburgh Steelers, not Andy Rooney. I think Kris was making a joke.

I'm a Canadan and you guys are confusing me. How many Rooneys do you have? Were you playing football today? What's up?

Yeah, I sort of had the same reaction-- Matt Hasselbeck is strong himself and very admirable, a guy you definitely want to see win the Big One as a milestone in his own career. I had the same feeling when the Colts lost-- I respect Manning so much, I just hope Indianapolis wins the ring themselves pretty soon.

On a side note-- interesting that both quaterbacks have those polysyllabic German last names that are so unique. "Hasselbeck" is doable, but I've only recently mastered "Roethlisberger". Ha, that probably goes for the announcers, too! AFAIK it's a reference to some small village in Germany somewhere, or maybe one of those classic Swiss-German names stemming from the shared culture in the 1800s. However you pronounce it, today, "Ben Roethlisberger" means "greatness."

Oh my god, I cannot tell you how many times one of us said "Bacon Roethlisberger" or saw the Seahawks coach with that menu-looking thing in his hands and said "I'll have the Roethlisberger with fries"...! Ha!

I wanted Big Ben to win only because of the whole Hasselbeck thing. Elizabeth just sucks, to put it nicely.

You are speaking a language I don't understand.

DisneyWORLD?!?

That guy was at the ground breaking for DisneyLAND.
Hell, he was at the ground breaking for the Parthenon.

Andy Rooney and football? Really?

I so wanted the Seahawks, but then again I am a lifelong Seattle resident. Hasselbeck is unlucky to have that wacky sister-in-law. Too bad she did so well in Survivor. Is Elizabeth the new Ann Coulter?

Andy Rooney has enough money to buy a football team?!? Hmmm.
Your blog makes me laugh. Just wanted you to know.

I conveniently put myself on a plane back from Vegas during Superbowl time. Sad I missed the commercials!

I'm sorry, but who is Andy Rooney? Or for that matter, Matt Hasselbeck is who again?

Hasselbeck is CueBee of the Seattle Seahawks! Go team!

I hear Hasselbeck is huge in Germany. Oh wait, forget that.

That game was fixed.

As for the View, that would be my version of Hell - to be on The View for eternity.

Elizabeth Hasselback on the View is his WIFE, not his sister.

Phew - for a second I thought you were going to tell me Star Jones was his sister-in-law. Scary...
