Am I the only one finding herself overwhelmed, disgusted and disturbed by the stimulus overload that is the repeated graphic video of Saddam's execution? Saturday morning television, indeed.

Welcome, party people. I'm Kris. Pull up a chair, and let me take that bottle of wine off your hands.

I haven't turned on the television today. Thanks for reminding me not to at all.

Whoa, they are actually showing it, on TV?
Wait a second, what was I thinking, this is the United States of America, where anything goes.....geesh.
Thanks for the warning. I'll keep the tv off for the next few days.
Well there's a good reason to stick to the Saturday morning cartoons!
Seems to me this trend started a few years ago... I don't think I would have seen more beheadings and killings if I had grown up an Aztec in the pre-Columbus era.
In the interest of full disclosure, the video is not of him actually dying, but instead of them applying the noose to the neck . . . oh, and then video of his dead body. I forgot to mention that part. I wish iVillage Live was on . . . ;)
I've left my television off, as well. I don't need repeated viewings of anything disturbing right now. Calm and tranquil, calm and tranquil, so ends the year.
my tv is turned to movies only. couldn't cope with that visual.
Overwhelmed? Check. Disgusted? Check. Disturbed? Double check.
You're definitely not the only one...
No, you're truly not the only one. I haven't turned the tv on all day, and I don't plan to tomorrow either, except possibly to play some dvds.
I haven't seen anything on Aussie TV, but it sort of doesn't surprise me. That's a worry, eh?
I am Kris. It's on every news website. We sure did make an example out of him. I'm not saying the guy was a humanitarian by any stretch, but it does seem to be a bit over the top.
They never show the good stuff.
Yikes! That's so weird.
I'm waiting for the conspiracy theorists to crop up and tell us this was all staged despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary...
I didn't even know he was killed.
Wow.
Shows how much I pay attention to the crap on TV.
But then, none of us should really be surprised. Reality TV is far worse than that.
Re-locating over the holidays ensured that I would not be aware of anything going on in the real world.
This media event shows that I was a-okay missing out. Sick!
I hope you're feeling better for New Year. Happy New Year -- now turn off the TV.
Chantel
Happy New Year Wino!
