Dale from "Hey, those are my Nachos," TX is calling out lurkers on his blog today. He has got me thinking, which his insightful, inspirational, innovative, sparkly, cool, rad, mint, swell and effervescent blog often does . . .
Bloggers and Blogettes, what are your views on lurkers? Fun visitors, do you lurk here and elsewhere, and if so, would you be able, even anonymously, to say why? Don't feel like commenting? I'm a case study for your Psych 101 class? Mom, is that you?
That said, if you lurk, know that I'm glad to have you.
In other news, try not to put new skin care products near the eyes. Said products produce extreme orbital swelling, snarky comments from co-workers re: seldom worn Tina Fey glasses, and inexplicable craving for small-town carnival funnel cake.

I think I have lurkers that come read my blog...it's funny because whenever I post something very controversial, I will get an annoymous comment and I know that it is probably the lurkers.

Thanks for introducing me to Dale. I had not yet met him in my blog travels. If I haven't made myself clear in my posting and in my sidebar, I encourage lurkers. If someone doesn't feel like they have anything to say to me, that's cool by me. Just happy they're sticking around to read. I do have to admit, though, that I secretly stash the comments in a folder in my email for rainy days when I'm feeling blue. :)
Lurkers should always jump in and try to post... the more the merrier!
I lurk AND I comment. So I'm sort of a conundrum that way.
I've been totally called out as a lurker... Ok - so I confess... I lurk. I can't help it. You crack me up. I snort, giggle and laugh out loud pretty much everytime I visit... Good to know there are others as quirky as I am.
I totally lurk. I lurk because I don't ever think I have something whitty enough to add to the post and/or comments. I am just a lurking looser.
Lurkers aren't so bad, I guess. It all depends on why they lurk. I check my stats fairly often to see where people hail from.
It's not like they do anything harmful.
