this one's for the woman who showed me they aren't all hairy, feral beasts
If you don’t watch this, my first-ever, low-quality video (other than the ones I made as a Jersey mall superstar in ’87 - and the soft core of ‘06, of course), you are missing out on:

A seldom-seen view of my couch without its skin on.
Me almost tripping into the oven.
The sound of my transcriptionist typing all of my hideous words into a Commodore 64.
A glimpse of Cricket’s ass.
My irritating voice. It’s really quite something, let me tell you. Infants are crying states away. As is the baby Jesus.
Enjoy.

I went to that panel you did. You are HYSTERICAL! LOVE the name of your blog.

Thanks for letting us see the furry kids. It's good to see Bugs in action. He seems to be doing well and looks happy too. As they say in the medical field a supportive family is very important to a quick recovery. You and Cricket must be doing a great job.

Awww... I love it! I love the kitties! And your voice is neither annoying nor irritating.

I'm getting a stream not found message.

I MUST HAVE VIDEO!

Awwww! CUTE!

i love how you are wearing heels while feeding your cats.

and your transcriptionist needs to be hidden down in the hall with a blanket over her machine while such lovefest is being recorded.

Have I told you how much I love you? Today anyway?

I am sitting here all alone on my couch hysterically laughing at the transcriptionist oh her Commodore 64.

this is why i love cats - their attitudes - bug seemed to be thinking, "sweet jesus woman i'm tryin' to eat over here...back off."

LOVE IT!

He gives you such a look when you call him "Precious Boy."

<3

it's official. you're like the adult- version of me. even though (technically and legally speaking) I've been an adult for a few years already. ;]

Seriously, this cat footage is priceless. I, too, wanted to comment on the precious boy's reaction to your sweet talking. It's great to see him getting around so well-- even if his leg didn't grow back (ha!).

i freaking love this. your cats are utterly adorable.

Blogger Amber said...

See, I saw nothing wrong with this. Actually, the one thing wrong was that I haven't done this yet.

You're adorable. And a great Cat Mom.

Blogger Kim said...

Congrats! You're journey into Crazy Cat Lady-dom has begun!

Blogger kris said...

Seriously? Thanks for your support, Kim. I was simply trying to illustrate for my e-friends the success with which my kid is navigating his world post-surgery.

Ok, maybe you're right.

Blogger *kb* said...

I was thinking the same thing as Kim, but wasn't going to say it! LOL!! It is funny!! And no you're voice is not irritating!! :)

Blogger Tracy Lynn said...

Dude, Bug's all "Woman I am EATING HERE." Awesome.
And I have it on good authority that you need to have at least four cats to qualify as a Crazy Cat Lady, so you are still two away from the entrance requirements. Breathe easy.

Blogger kris said...

Yeah, T! See you guys? I need at least two more cats and probably some velour Florida loungewear before I qualify. WOOT!

You are like the next Michael Moore.

But way thinner.

Your voice isn't at all irritating. You sound the way you look in your pictures....as if that makes any sense at all.

And of course, your fur babies are adorable.

Blogger Della said...

Love it, love it, love it!
You are great cat mommy!!
He is furbugalicious!

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Yep.... you are officially a member of the "Annoying Cat Mommy" club. You've video'd your kitties and posted it for the rest of the world to see. ha..ha.ha...!!

(umm..yeah.... I'm in the club too, trust me! Lot's of video of my Squeaker on my blog... heh.heh..heh.)

Hey....cats are way more entertaining to watch than other people's KIDS. ;)

Blogger Jorge said...

Oh my God.

I miss your furry children.

Anonymous Anonymous said...

OH. MY. GAW. I miss them! He's getting on so well!

I love how they're all "Mmrrgh!" and "Mheeergh!" LOVE IT. I'm getting me some video. Stay tuned for The Poopsmith and an annoyingly thick Midwestern ayk-sent.

Blogger The Middle Child said...

LOVED the kitties!!! And your voice isn't annoying, go a little easier on yourself there!

Blogger missbhavens said...

Yay! A cat video! They true benchmark of entry into the videoblogging club! Welcome! The public demands more!

And, hey, Bug looks good!

Good mommy!

(and I think your voice sounds exactly right, by the way!)

My 3 year old loved this. She said your cats were "soo cute" and she wants to "see more kitties!" I'm serious. You've got a fan. She also likes Barney, and can't manage to poop in a potty, so take it with a grain of salt.
