Sorry...I should have mentioned one blog that you should definitely read: ProBlogger. It's a really well-written blog about how to make money and keep good readership on your blog. Since "discovering" it (as much as you can discover one of the most popular blogs in the world), I've never read a post there that I didn't think was really valuable.
